House Rules

Essential House Rules: • No parties, events, or loud groups. Quiet hours after 9 PM. • Minimum age to book: 25 years. • Dogs welcome! Please crate dogs when left unattended indoors. Do not leave pets outside unattended (wildlife concern: coyotes, bears). Keep pets off furniture and beds — use the provided pet blankets. Clean up after your pet before departure. • No smoking or vaping inside the cabin. Smoking is welcome outside. • No garbage or trash bags left outside — use the bear box. Bears are active in the area. • No air conditioning (typical for Tahoe). Open windows and use the ceiling fan and portable fans — summer nights are cool (40-60°F). • We cannot offer refunds for weather, road conditions, wildfires, or air quality. We recommend purchasing travel insurance for peace of mind.

Other Details to Note

For security, a single exterior camera monitors the front driveway area only. It records video (no audio) for liability purposes and does not infringe on guest privacy inside the cabin. A noise monitor is installed inside as required by the City of South Lake Tahoe. It tracks sound levels (decibels only — no audio recording). It also detects smoke particles, including from vapes. Smoking and vaping are welcome outside on the patio. City of South Lake Tahoe Vacation Rental Permit #332521

Accessibility and Availability

Neighborhood

Our cabin is in a quiet, tree-lined residential neighborhood — the kind of area where you'll hear birds and wind in the pines, not traffic. It's an easy walk or short drive to everything South Lake Tahoe has to offer. Half a mile to Regan Beach and the lakeshore bike path. One mile to Stateline's restaurants, casinos, and nightlife. Two blocks from the free Heavenly shuttle stop. Safeway and other essentials are a quick 5-minute drive. The neighborhood is family-friendly and safe for evening walks with your dog. You're close enough to the action to pop over for dinner, but far enough away to sleep peacefully.

Guest Access

You'll have full access to the entire cabin including both bedrooms, the kitchen, living area, backyard and patio, BBQ, washer/dryer, and driveway parking. Please note: The US Post Office does not deliver to the cabin. FedEx and UPS may deliver but it's not guaranteed. The local post office is nearby if you need package services.

What a wonderful stay! It was just my dog and I and we settled right in like we were at home. Loved the code lock, the picnic table n huge yard and the gorgeous new shower- wow! Great water pressure too. I’m a nut for older homes and this was soooo warm n historical but with all the amenities you’re used to. We only went upstairs once- the bedroom up there is beautiful! I’m not good with stairs so I happily stayed in the original wood ceilinged bedroom downstairs- vey cozy! Great to go to marina at end of street to catch sunset and the restaurant right there allows dogs! Also, a favorite haunt was idle hours- superb place for a snack n wine and sunsets with - your dog!! I feel confident I prefer south tahoe bc of all the truly dog friendly places- don’t miss kiva beach- canine heaven! Anyhow, long winded praise and there’s no doubt we’ll be back!

Tamara and Nick’s place was exactly what we needed for a Tahoe getaway. We travel with two dogs and it’s not always easy to find a welcoming, convenient and affordable place to stay. The location is great - close to everything in town but tucked away enough to feel removed from the crowds.

We stayed at Tamara and Nick’s cabin for a few days and it was a very relaxing stay. The cabin is located in a very peaceful neighborhood and gives out a very good vibe of being in a forest area. The stay was comfortable and the hosts were very responsive and left detailed instructions for checking and checkout. It was all worth it.

This cabin is so cute! My friends and I can't wait to come back next winter. We would love to visit in the summer some time as well because the backyard is very spacious!

We stayed here for a long weekend and had a great time. There is a free Heavenly shuttle stop two blocks away that made it super easy to get to and from the slopes. We tried both El Dicho Cafe for breakfast and Rice Thai for dinner also walkable and they were both very good. The house itself was warm and cozy with plentiful supplies in the kitchen and a fenced in backyard that was great for our dog, and very easy to come and go using a keypad instead of physical keys. We would definitely stay here again.

The free Heavenly shuttle stops just two blocks away (runs daily during ski season). In summer, the trolley runs along the lake for easy beach-hopping. Uber and Lyft are available in South Lake Tahoe — convenient for nights out at Stateline without worrying about parking. Most attractions are a 5-10 minute drive. Bikes are a popular way to get around in summer — the lakeshore bike path is nearby. Several shops in town rent bikes, kayaks, and paddleboards.
